Scotch
Not sure where to post this...
I like to carry a little scotch in my golfbag and I was wondering if anyone does this and if so, how do you store/keep it. My first thought was a flask but they are such a Pain in the but to clean. I'm just curious if anyone has any good methods out there? |
There is a large scotch drinkers thread.
You carry alcohol onto the course? Not what I would recommend. Some courses would throw you off for doing that. I know one locally had a kid arrested, mainly because he was underage. I never carry anything as far as food or drink onto a course. |
I like a little scotch now and then, but I save it for after the round.

I usually finish a bottle of Crown Royal on the first nine then break out my gallon of Jaeger for the back 9 http://www.thehackersparadise.com/fo...es/biggrin.png http://www.thehackersparadise.com/fo...es/biggrin.png http://www.thehackersparadise.com/fo...es/biggrin.png

I keep my scotch at home with the whisky glass and the ice :) I stick with beer on the course. A buddy of mine has this great soft cooler tube that he puts cans of beer in. I don't bring drinks on the course myself, but don't mind others' breaking the rule so long as the course insists on the 500% + markup.

I once played at a club during a business trip to Little Rock, AR. Some of the members had Styrofoam cups full of scotch, whiskey, etc. They would had back to the clubhouse for refills no matter where they were on the course. Carts were zig-zagging all over the place. I have never seen anything like it.

While I fully encourage your love for scotch, I do not carry on the course. This would ruin my game that is already in need of work. The flask though is probably as good as your going to find.

I saw this on another website. Scotch is going to start coming in a can! That could be dangerous for the course.

Might I ask what kind of scotch you like my friend? I like old fashioned beer...but I don't mind trying a nice scotch now and then.

I keep a small flask of Macallan 18 in my golf bag during special rounds. Nice to sip and enjoy with a nice cigar as I either make the turn or as I finish the last two holes. My flask isn't hard to clean out (at least I don't think so) but since I only ever put scotch in it and I only drink Macallan, it doesn't require a lot of cleaning

Only brews on the course for me, and only one or two or three.... after that I really start to worry about the health of the other golfers on the course. At home I like an old fashioned or just jwb or chivas 18 on the rocks.
