 1st Round Pairings - The Morgan Cup
The inaugural Morgan Cup is less than two months away and the lucky 16 participants have been gearing up for this weekend event of a lifetime. The weekend golf tournament that consists of 16 regular golfers being sponsored by THP, in conjunction with industry giants TaylorMade Golf and/or Callaway Golf, has been building for months and the time is almost here. Two teams of 8 are preparing for battle and both Team Hackers and Team Paradise are getting ready for this showdown at Reunion Resort on August 19th-21st.

I'm so excited for this event even from here! THP coverage will be awesome. Really looking forward to the player interviews and hearing the nerves come through before I throw my considerable Euro backing behind one team!
Some nice match ups being thrown out there from the start! |

 A lot of thought and consideration went into these pairings. We have compelling match-ups from top to bottom. Can't wait to hear everyone's thoughts on them. |

Is there anyway someone can post the match ups in this thread with the screen names? Would think there are some of us that don't know the real name to the forum name. Thanks!

The reality sets in and the Morgan Cup is literally right around the corner. The smack talk, videos, and counter jabbing is about to come down to the first tee shot. I can also hear the hearts thumping in anticipation of representing your personal team in the quest to host the Morgan Cup and forever have bragging rights. In good old Nascar talk it will go like this, "Gentlemen, start your engines" and then the Cup is on

Finally! Nice to get an idea of who's going up against one another. I love the fact that I get to play against my brother, should be even more fun that way. Some compelling match ups for sure. Love the confidence from the two long knocking Paradisians. They are about to get dissected! I hope they remember how successful the pairing of Dustin Johnson and Phil Mickelson was against Luke Donald and Lee Westwood. It's such an eerily similar match up.
It should be a fun time taking on my brother and my brother from a Fargo mother w/ my main man Kmac at my side. This is going to be a tough match, but I look forward to the challenge. |

It would be cool to have JB on the first tee with a microphone announcing each group prior to teeing it up
 . A small video of each grouping so the fans will know their faces.

I like all of these matchups, kudos to THP, the captains of our respective teams, and Taylormade and Callaway in coming together and making these matchups happen. I think that there are compelling subplots to all of the matches, and they should all be very competitive. I can't wait to team up with ddec on that Saturday morning and take down coolbreeze and CG13!
