I have no idea what this question is. 1. Visualize the shot, step up, and hit it ("playing golf") 2. Think about the take away, and the swing, and the weight shift, and the follow through. ("playing golf swing"). When I am not hitting the ball well I tend to do more of #2 than #1. It's not a good thing. Does that help? |

When you play golf do you: I think about the swing and weight shift in my practice swings but visualize the shot, step up and "power fade" it ![]() ![]() |

Last year I played golf, and did quite well.
This is the first year I've thought about swing, and it has hurt my game. Last week I went out and played tee to green golf, and felt like a player again. Unfortunately, thinking about putting led to 38 putts worth of swing. not good! edited to say - great topic! ![]() |

I'd say I'm doing a little bit of both. I always play golf swing right before I get over the ball, but once over it, I'm playing golf. I am not so sure you can actually not play golf swing. I certainly don't hit every single shot perfectly, so the golf swing will always be a part of my round. I use to be a bad tweaker during my round. I'd golf swing my arse off, and make subtle changes, right there in the middle of my round. Not anymore, I think that's the kiss of death.
Good topic Sean, I like it! |
