Means you could wake up for a 7:00 tee time and be able to see what you're doing. Weather permitting that is lol
This is true...teed off on Sunday at 7:30am and for the first several shots you coundn't see the ball land, it just disappeared! The only good thing about the clocks falling back an hour is an extra hour of drinking at the bar on Saturday night

Default Daylight Savings Time puts a damper on golf
With the time change coming up this Sunday, I thought about how those afternoon 9 hole rounds are about to come to an end for me. One of the best things about working at a school is getting out to the course by 4:00 in the afternoon but now it will be dark before 5:00.

Agreed...it sucks as I have been getting in a TON of golf with the ability to be at the course by 4:15. Now I am relegated to just practicing which is not necessarily a bad thing if you know what I mean.

On the plus side though, we still can play golf down here...unlike our Canadian friends who soon will not see grass for 5 months.

Yep. Same thing for me. I liked to head out after school. Well if I get out by 3:30 then I may be able to squeeze a full round in. Either way it's free so I'll just play as many as I can. And maybe now Cookie won't be able to golf every day.

That is pure torture and would be enough reason for me to move in a heartbeat!!

Yes, I too will have to get to the course a little earlier, but at least around here, when the weather gets cooler, the afternoon crowd really thins out, so I can still get in 9 under an hour and a half.

I have never understood why we even have Daylight Savings time. I mean talk about a misnomer, how is getting dark an hour earlier actually saving any daylight? This is an antiquated system that needs to be done away with! Golfers unite!

I'm with you man. It doesn't do us any good to have sun in the morning since there are so many frost delays right now.

With DST it actually gets dark a hour later. If you were in my line of work (heavy road construction) you would grow to appreciate it during the summer months.

I definitely hate the time change for my golf, but love it for work. I'm home by 5:00 now for a while.

I hate Daylight savings and have been ranting about this for years. Why would I care that its lighter in the mornings? What I care aboot is that it's dark at 3:30pm instead of 4:30 if we didn't have this stupid time change.
