Does anybody know anything about the winter facilities at Atkinson’s Resort in Southern New Hampshire or World Cup Golf Center in Hudson, New Hampshire? Since I have been hustling around the last few weeks trying to get rounds in at various courses trying to decide where to join for next year I have not covered myself yet with regard to where I am going to go to stay sharp this winter.

When the new THP irons testing opportunity came up I decided not to throw my hat in the ring because I did not want to let THP down. THP takes these testing opportunities seriously and I did not want to toss my hat in the ring and then not have a place to test over the cold weather months. So that lost opportunity has prompted me to get down to business with regard to winter practice locations.

The two I have asked about seem to offer the most and best facilities including heated tee box ranges and indoor simulators. However I have not used either as this will be the first year I have ever gone into the winter intending to do everything I can to keep my edge. I have ordered the materials I need for a reasonable putting and chipping platform for my basement but need to get the winter range/simulator thing figured out both for practice purposes and so that I can request the opportunity to participate in things like the iron test I just missed, confident that I have a place to conduct the testing.

So has anybody used either of these facilities? If so can you offer any comments about the quality of the facilities and the services for golfers using either heated ranges or indoor simulators?
