Default My girl needs a new driver!
It looks like my girlfriend is outgrowing her driver. She has been using the driver from her Callaway GEMS set, but she is whacking the ball pretty good now, but it feels a little hollow. We are going to go find her a new one this weekend, but I was hoping to get a few suggestions. The Taylormade 2009 lady burner is on sale now and I was looking at that as a good possibility.

Thanks!

GG reviewed that one on the home page last year.

I LOVE the 2009 Taylormade Burner Driver. I have been testing the Callaway Solaire set and I have started to really enjoy the driver that comes with it. From my understanding it's basically the ladies Diablo Edge. But up until trying the Callaway there was nothing that even came close to my Burner driver I love that club.

What do you plan on doing with her current driver?

Great review! It looks like this will be the one... Actually we are in the process of filling out a new set of clubs for her. We bought a set of the lady burner plus irons a couple of months ago. Will look at a new wood and maybe a hybrid. Once that is done I think we will sell her set. The only thing is the GEMS set comes with a nice odessey 2 ball putter that we may keep.

I just wanted to say thanks to GG for the great review. We went out and picked up the 2009 Lady Burner... on sale for $150 at Golfsmith, plus a bonus $20 off coupon that just came in the mail. She is definitely hitting it farther and it is much more solid sounding and feeling than her Callaway driver... she is thrilled!

That's great! I am so happy she likes the driver. It's such a solid piece of equipment and it just gets the job done. I hope she sees lower scores with her new driver
