Two Aces In Same Round

This is a press release

Cleveland® Golf/Srixon® is pleased to announce that Scott Hamilton, Director of Golf & Instruction at Cartersville Country Club and member of the Cleveland® Golf/Srixon® Elite Advisory Board made history by sinking two hole-in-ones in the same round of golf. While competing in the 2010 Georgia PGA’s Pro-Assistant Championship at Cherokee Town and Country Club, in Atlanta, Hamilton made his first hole-in-one on the fourth hole of the South Course, knocking in an 8-iron from 161 yards. His second hole-in-one was on the 14th hole of the North Course, where he hit his 6-iron 183 yards straight into the cup.

“Hitting two hole-in-ones in the same round was just unbelievable,“ said Hamilton. “Since I’ve switched to the Srixon® Z-STAR™ ball and Cleveland® equipment, my play has improved tremendously and my distance control has gone to the next level.”

Hamilton has been the Director of Golf Instruction at Cartersville Country Club since 1993, where he is the instructor for PGA Tour players such as Jason Bohn, Michael Clark II, Steven Bowditch, as well as many additional professional and amateur golfers. His teaching accomplishments include being named the 2007 PGA of America – Georgia Section Teacher of the Year.

Hamilton plays a Cleveland® Launcher® DST™ driver and fairway woods with Miyazaki™ Kusala Black 83X shafts, a Cleveland® Launcher® DST™ Hybrid, Cleveland® CG7™ Tour irons, Cleveland® 588™ wedges and a Srixon® Z-STAR™ golf ball.

how many holes in one do you have? lol and considering there is usually only 4 par 3s (give or take 1) on 18 holes now days thats pretty damn good!

Fellionas 06-24-2010 02:44 AM

wow that is sick! dare I say EPIC!

CevepBiageCefm 06-24-2010 02:45 AM

It was a joke. Kim Jong-il had 6 in one round. If you understood the circumstances, you would understand the joke. That is awesome!

That's a hell of an accomplishment by Hamilton.

The Kim Jong-iL post had me ROFLMAO. That guy was something else. Great one liner Thainer.

The two aces in the same round was probably one the most impressive feats out there. I wouldnt even want to imagine the odds of doing it.

Another story of a Georgia Boy Makes Good!!

His name is no longer Scott. It is now, Ace. Ace Hamilton. One day, I hope to be called Ace Fist.

Super cool. I hope he has some video. Wouldn't that be awesome to watch when your feeling down!

Alex Photographer 06-24-2010 02:56 AM

I tihnk its more great luck than skill, but still a great thing to do! Do many tournaments play two courses in the same round?

That's both an amazing amount of skill and luck there!

Alex Photographer 06-24-2010 05:18 AM
