Bump to remind those within the greater Omaha area.

Nebraska Golf Expo this weekend at Qwest Center Omaha.

I'm planning on heading over there Saturday. Anyone else going?

Are they planning on having much? I have a 9 ball tournament I could play, but that sounds like fun too.

They've updated the website since the original post, including what manufacturers will be there.

TaylorMade, Ping, Callaway/Odyssey, Titleist/Cobra will be there both Saturday and Sunday. Cleveland and Adams will only be there Saturday. Nike and Tour Edge will only be there Sunday.

I'm actually interested in the Performance Stage and what kind of lessons they'll be doing throughout the day.

Their website is really slow tonight though.

yeah I would love to be there but I have to be at the convention center in Minneapolis by 10:30 on Saturday. Take some pics so we can see what we missed. I am quite frustrated that I don't get to go to this, I would have loved to be able to try out all the new clubs and mess around.

Sounds like I'm going to this, lol. Liz wants to get out of town and I'd like to see the club fitting sections. I'll be there Saturday unless I'm stuck in the 9 ball, if I am stuck then it will be Sunday.

i'll be going to the 19,20,21 cleveland show ...

like JB said nice to get a decent deal on clubs but nothing remotely like the pga show ... probably wont even have the newest clubs like diablo forged ... ft tour driver ... r9 super tri etc ... but cleveland has one of the better shows nevertheless ...

dan boever and brian pavlet on stage ... better than no one i guess ...

practicing my 70 foot putts for the contest though baby !!!!!

I attended one show in LA and it was fun, some free stuff, free golf lessons and plenty of equipmet to try out.

The Los Angels Golf Show will be on Feb 26-28

Some of the activities:
Chipping contest
Putting contest, last year champion prize was a trip for 2 to Hawaii
Long Drive competition

Mini golf lessons given by a local golf pro

Local Golf Retailer will have Demo area to try all the latest clubs.

Default Nebraska Golf Expo 2010
For those of you within commuting distance of Omaha, NE and are having cabin fever with all the snow, I found this recently.

First Annual Nebraska Golf Expo

Feb 6 and 7 at Qwest Center Omaha

The exhibitors seem a little slim at the moment. Hopefully it'll get better. They do have some interesting features though with the putting contest, long drive contest, simulators, and some others.

Thanks for the info- we had one of these last spring in Sx Falls for the first time, it was cool. I may have to consider venturing down.

The consumer shows can be fun. Plus you can sometimes get some stuff at a steal of a price. Unfortunately many are filled with travel things, but once in a while, one can find some great stuff.

If a few THP'ers end up going, we could have a mini THP get together.

I went last year, like JB said most of the exhibitors were travel agents and financial advisors. All of the major OEMs had displays and you could hit into a net so that was okay, that was the first time I had seen the R9 and Str8 drivers. They also gave us a free subscription to Golf Week and some discount coupons for a couple of the golf stores so it was worth it.

Liz just reminded me that I have about $200 in BassPro bucks to spend for the upcoming fish/hunt season, I can kill two birds, hehe.

Overland Park Convention Center.

MO went last year, I need to ask him again if it was worth it. I think he ended up with a couple of free subscriptions to some golf magazines, but that's all I remember!

There you go Duey. Go to the expo, then head over to the Bluffs for Bass Pro and some gambling at the casinos, hehe

Oooh, I'm no gambler, but love to watch Liz lose her arse, lol. I don't even play the lotto. I won a thousand in Vegas this year and lost that plus in about 2 hours, hehe.

Better to just stay away!
