Default Right Elbow In on downswing?
I HAVE A question about the right elbow position on the downswing.... I have been told that keeping it closer to your body helps you create lag which in turn creates more distance. I have also heard that it helps you hit it straighter. Has anyone been told this?

I've heard of that as well. Usually during the downswing, I tend to keep my right elbow tucked into my ribs/side until the club hits the ball at impact and then releases.

i meant at the beginning; if the right beat the left all the way through that could be bad......
what i'm trying to say is that the elbows beat the hands until the club is released

You might want to go to the "Ask The Pro" section on here. Great advice from an expert!
