I once tried to break in a pair of new golf shoes by wearing them for an entire eighteen holes and ended up with a huge blister on the back of each ankle.
I usually break in new shoes by wearing them until they begin to get uncomfortable, then I switch to a broken in pair that I carry along. But these were so comfortable that I thought there would be no problem. Boy was I wrong. I was leaving the next day for a nine day trip to Texas for which I had already booked some tee times. Bandages, gauze pads, ointments helped a bit, but man it was tough playing in the Texas heat for the first couple of rounds. I'll never make THAT mistake again! -JP |

A few tweaked ankles, and a snake bite quickly come to mind. There was a bout with some poison oak some months ago. I have also been hit by a few balls. My back tends to get a little sore after 5 or 6 consecutive rounds. My brother, and I were rear ended while dead stopped in our cart. The guy that hit us was going full speed, and said he was looking for his ball, and did not see us.
