Default A Little Boo Boo
Have you ever been injured on the course - in any way - big or small? I've been hit by balls 3 times, gotten a few blisters, got poison oak once and broken out in hives 3 times. Nothing major though.

Nope and hoefully that will continue. BTW, keep your ball in fairway & you won't get poison oak.

Twisted my ankle severely twice in the space of 4 days. Even after putting on the ankle brace I carry, I was just hobbling the rest of the way in both times. Hit myself in the foot with a ricochet off a tree. It caught me on the side of my instep. It was very sore for days.

I think I was about 13 and my father kept saying he didn't realize there was any poison oak on the course. That was because he had never hit into that group of bushes and crawled in to retrieve a golf ball.

Blisters. Poison Ivy. Sun burn. Small cuts and scrapes. A messed up knee. A messed up back. A messed up shoulder. Nothing serious yet!

I wish I had a camera yesterday. You would now be sporting two broken hearts. WOW!

I have never even played a course that had beverage carts. I usually hit on my playing partners.

You must go through a lot of playing partners!

Worst was wearing the wrong shoes for a round. Ouch!

I once tried to break in a pair of new golf shoes by wearing them for an entire eighteen holes and ended up with a huge blister on the back of each ankle.

I usually break in new shoes by wearing them until they begin to get uncomfortable, then I switch to a broken in pair that I carry along. But these were so comfortable that I thought there would be no problem.

Boy was I wrong.

I was leaving the next day for a nine day trip to Texas for which I had already booked some tee times. Bandages, gauze pads, ointments helped a bit, but man it was tough playing in the Texas heat for the first couple of rounds.

I'll never make THAT mistake again!

A few tweaked ankles, and a snake bite quickly come to mind. There was a bout with some poison oak some months ago. I have also been hit by a few balls. My back tends to get a little sore after 5 or 6 consecutive rounds. My brother, and I were rear ended while dead stopped in our cart. The guy that hit us was going full speed, and said he was looking for his ball, and did not see us. That caused me a back issues, but that disappeared after sleeping on a special mattress for a few nights.

Poison Ivy many times, but I'm immune to it. usually swinging my golf club and hitting myself in the ball of the ankle.

No blisters, but I made the mistake of walking 18 in new shoes and ended up bruising the nail on a little toe so badly that it fell off a few weeks later! Won't be doing that again. I'll have to remember your method of breaking in new shoes.

I hit myself in the shin with my putter all of the time. This usually results in my whining for a good ten minutes.

I had a month fly into my ear once in South Dakota. Actually had to have it removed, lol. Other than that my only illness on the course was score related.

I had almost forgotten. I stepped on a wet railroad tie used to define the edge of a path and slipped, doing the splits. It tweaked my knee and I still have to wear a brace occasionally.

C-Tech, did your voice get any higher?

Sorry about the brace, that sucks.
