I had just gotten my new custom set of R9's from TaylorMade and had everything packed for a business trip to Phoenix this past week. My connecting flight into Chicago was running late so my golf clubs didn't make it to Phoenix (first time I had ever been to Phoenix). Ended up with rental TM R7 Draws w/reg flex and rental shoes (a size 1/2 too small)....shot an 86 (44, 42) and really hit the ball well.....after toiling over making the move from regular flex to stiff with my R9's it was almost irritating to hit the ball so well......really can't go wrong with R7's but wondering if I should have just picked up a set of those instead of the R9's. Hoping that they will be as forgiving.

I also hit an R7 Rescue 4 hybrid that was like a stick of butter....made my FT Hybrid feel like a rock.

I hope your stickes made it eventually. I had the same thing a number of years ago, the sticks got there but not the shoes. I had to buy some at a very nice course in Vegas. They saw me coming...$$

I've flown with my clubs five times and they made it with me each time. By luck, every time I've taken my clubs, I had direct flights both directions.

I've flown with my clubs several times with connecting flights and never had any kind of problem. Too bad you did.

Damn that's some bad luck. Did they eventually track down the clubs and get them to Phoenix/home?

With the luck I've had just trying to get a checked bag to arrive with me at destinations, I'm scared to death about the first time I fly with my clubs! Atlanta is notorious for short layovers on my connections, and since nothing ever seems to arrive on time or depart on time somehow they seem to misplace my bags and I end up seeing them 1-4 days later.
