Good story C-Tech. I have had numerous similar experiences at a practice par-3 I used to frequent last year...
...They are not all like that though: I once got stuck behind a father who gave his son swing-pointers and even drills(!!!!) prior to every shot the little man took! The guy (father) was posessed, kept looking back at the tee-box to judge how much he could get away with! At some point he somehow caught on that my good mood was fading fast and skipped a couple of holes. |

I have actually had many pleasant experiences with kids on the course. I played with a Korean girl who was living here and finishing her last year of HS. She was trying to get on the Univ of Arizona golf team. I played with a couple of young men (13-14 maybe) who were good players and understood how to act. I played with a father and his college age son and HS age daughter. The son was fair but the daughter was a playa! They also knew how to act on the course. That's just a few I remember.

I paired up with a 14 year old kid and had a blast. I have since played a few more rounds with him. He plays to about a 4 and has given me some pointers after I asked about some stuff. It is kind of humbling taking advice from someone who is going through puberty, but he knows how to make the shot and now so do I.
