I travel for my job but not enough to not have a home course....options are:

- Top shelf Palmer course for $320/month, no initiation (until after the 15 month period)

- Mid-range public course (decent shape, fun layout) - $165/month period.

- Don't join anywhere and just continue to play around at the various courses in town and in my travels around the country.

As a reference I played my 39th round of golf this past Friday. Of those 39, I'd say 3 were at the Palmer course and 8 were at the mid-range course. On the surface it seems like it doesn't make sense to join anywhere but the Palmer course promotional deal just seems to good to pass up (a year ago they were touting 40k equity memberships).
