Golf Cart Covers
I am considering picking up one of those golf cart covers I have seen people using during the witner and inclement weather. I was wondering if anyone in the forum has experience with these and whether they are really worth the investment. Not sure of the cost, I am guessing around $150-200. Also would love some feedback on ease of installation and break down. Pro's and Cons.

Here is a review JB did a while back: http://thehackersparadise.com/home/?p=1701

I have tested out lots of them Keith. I have only found 1 that I like and that is the Clear Vision. It has a flat windshield so that you do not have to deal with the wrinkling. It breaks down as easy as the others as well.
Here is the review we did. The Hackers Paradise Clear Vision Cart Cover Review http://thehackersparadise.smugmug.co..._kepPn-S-1.jpg EDIT: Smalls beat me. |

Thanks guys. I must not have put in the correct search words to pull it up.

Lots of features to look for including a good windshield, strong material, etc...One thing I have learned to look for is something that holds the unit to the cart on the bottom. Otherwise when you start riding, it blows up and can even get caught in the tire well. A hook or something else works well. |
I think this just made it to the top of my Xmas list. By the way, how did that heater work in the cart?

Freaking GREAT. Runs on the mini propane tanks. They sell them at Edwin Watts and stuff for quite a bit with a push button start. I picked 2 up at Walmart for half the price. You just have to light them to start. Keeps the whole cart warm...REAL WARM.

Cart covers are not just for cold weather. THey are for rain too, and we get plenty of it down here.
We also get to temps below 40* and while some may lack that, for me I would rather not. Hence the reason we live in FL. |
i play yr round in ks. and with a decent cover and heater its a great time to play, not many out but serious golfers, our biggest problem is waiting for the frost to get off the greens before we can get out. we can play comfortably in 30* temps as long as the wind isnt blowing to hard. the cover opened up many many days that we wouldnt have played before, and hardly anybodys on the course!
