Have you ever played a par-2 course?

I have, while vacationing:

http://www.missionpoint.com/greens.html

The 'course' consists of 18 greens, with tee-markers placed on the greens, from between/behind which to hit the first putt. My wife opened with a birdie (i.e. hole in one http://www.thehackersparadise.com/fo...ies/banana.gif)! I kept par going for quite a while on the front nine, but couldn't make it last.

It was fun, and reasonably fast, despite getting stuck behind some young family foursomes. It was the first and last time that I have seen a par-2 golf course.

Yes, but usually it also entails windmills, volcanos and waterfalls.

Las Vegas Golf Courses Info - Golf Vegas - Angel Park Golf Club - Las Vegas, Nevada

The putting course consists of par 2s and par 3s.

Same here. The only par 2 courses I know of are mini golf courses.

That does sound like fun!

That is very interesting and a GREAT idea for a little twist on golf.

Never heard of such a thing but it looks like a great idea!

That does look like a fun alternative. Maybe I'll run across one some day!

If they would place the "tee markers" off the green and move them daily, it would be an interesting way to practice your scrambling.

Then you'd have a bunch of kids whacking the ball - it could get dangerous out there.
