Default Best GPS system
I was impressed w/ the SkyCaddie GPS 5, but not the price tag, it's in color and not sure if I need all that, looked at the GPS 2.5 the price seem much more reasonable. But I've heard things about the competitors i.e. Calloway uPro, the Bushnell and Gramin GPS systems.

Not sure which one is best or for the price and courses listed, maybe someone has a definite web site to go to, I've tired searching the web but you all know how that goes . . . to much information.

I had a skycaddie2, but sold it and bought a rangefinder. I got tired of paying the yearly subscription.
It was fine though.

Rangefinder, what type and do you need a clear line of sight? Opinion as to which one is better?

I've got the Bushnell that's USGA legal (no slope calculations), it's a $400 unit. You do need to be able to see what you're shooting, clear line of sight. I haven't had any problem with that because if I can get there I need to go up and see if the green is clear anyway.
Comes in handy for my rifles also.

I like the rangefinder better, exact yardage to the pin, no subscription, can take it anywhere without having to hook it up to my computer.

I see where the newer skycaddies allow you to keep your score and stats on the unit and that is a neat deal. Another thing I didn't like about the skycaddie is that in real cloudy or rainy weather they didn't get a good signal.
