The Price of Range Balls
What do you pay for range balls? I pay $9.50 for a large bucket and $5 for the smaller bucket.
$7.50/105 balls.
Prices vary a little around here, but small buckets seem to run $4, with large buckets about $10. A couple places have mediums at $8 as well.
$8 for 105 at the range near the house.
The range near the office is $9 for 105 |
Mine is $9 for a Lg (80-90 balls) and $14 for a Jumbo (90-105)
It depends on how many balls the dispenser delivers into the basket. Some days it is $0.10,and other days it might be $0.15 per ball. This is at my home course. Other places in town, the cost is around $0.07 per ball.

I pay $13 for a 165 ball bucket plus I have a local high school coupon card to support the football team that gets me 2 for buckets at the range I hit at. I usually just hit 1 bucket and save the other coin for next time.

I live in Manhattan, which means my option is the Chelsea Piers driving range. They charge 28 cents per ball, which equates to about $25 for 90 balls. And yes, it's obscenely expensive. I don't go very often and when I do I don't hit very many balls.

Other than hitting the heated range in the winter, I don't go to a range. At that one it's something like $6 for a small & $10 or 11 for a large which is freakin ginormous.
Around $0.15 per ball here (MA).
If I buy a card for $60 I get 12 buckets. $5 each. I think there's 80+ in the bucket. All I know is when you get to the last ball you are kind of happy.
$5.00 for 70 balls, $3.00 for 35 balls. That is the going rate at the city muni ranges.
At my country club, I can hit as many balls as I want for nothing. At the local muni, it's 8 for a large bucket which is like 70 balls.
My home course charges $4 for a full bucket about 100 balls.

Free. Well, not really. But it feels like it. We joined a practice facility last year that is $95/month for a family. But that includes some discounts, free lessons, clubfitting, use of their little par 3 course, and all-you-can-hit rangeballs. Most times I go there I'm like a fat kid at an all you can eat buffet. The other nice part is that they don't mind you using the range balls on the chipping area, something most other local driving ranges strictly forbid. I figure I'm paying about $5/medium bucket for the use I'm getting out of it.

Most places are $4 a small bag (40), some are $50 (40 balls).
