After a few too many beers, I think you should just shoot "cheater girl" and be done with the problem. http://www.thehackersparadise.com/fo...lies/clapp.gif

There have been times I have been laughing so hard that I cried.

I cried once when I was hit between my neck and shoulder by a guy's drive. In my defense - it really hurt.

What about at the end of a round once I add up my score?

The only thing that I know is Diane if her actual handicap is about a 33 and you guys are playing on par 70 to 72 courses unless I'm wrong that avg's out to a 105 or so, I know plenty of people that would like to avg about a 105 every time they golf, but I could be wrong in my math here in all fairness.

JC,
True indexes are not about the averages (despite that I think they should be) they are about the true potential of scoring.

At my club we are not much better about dealing with vanity handicaps. There is a guy who claims to be a 6 but that should be his 9 hole handicap. EVERYBODY knows he is a vanity handicap but nobody says anything to him. He plays in major tournaments shoots 80something and stays a 6 every year.

We just ignore him, collect his money and laugh about his handicap each year. He will not change so we don't bother trying.

My point Diane is that as guys we are not much better. I think you are brave to confront the problem because normally I think us guys would just ignore it. I think if there was a tournament for a good deal of money and he was on my team I would withdraw, and everybody would know why.

Every course has these kind of people. I play with guys who are single digit handicaps but when you play with them they shoot in the high 80's and blame it on a sore body part or just being tired, etc. etc. Then the next time they play with another group they somehow shoot even par. I absolutely HATE playing with people who don't count penalty strokes and just cheat so that people think they are better than they are. I have never cheated in golf intentionally and I don't keep score if someone is trying to cheat. I won't have anything to do with it. If you have to cheat to feel good about your golf game then you probably should be playing another sport.

Also, a person should only play to their handicap on rare occassions. For the most part you are always going to shoot higher unless its a great round.
