Default Do You Play Wearing Sunglasses?
Lots of people wear them whether it be sunny or cloudy to cut glare.

Do you ever wear shades out on the links?

No - never wear them. I probably should though.

I wear sunglasses for almost every round. In Florida I do it in part to protect my eyes. I have found that I can read the greens and get a little better definition of the lay of the land with the sunglasses on as well. It has to get pretty cloudy for me to take them off.

Started wearing sunglasses full time six months before my move to AZ. Just be sure you find a large enough lens area to allow you head to be in it's correct position while to look at the ball in your address

Tried to wear them over the years but just do not like the feel also feel that they restrict my vision somewhat when addressing the ball. I have tried different lens sizes but still find them distracting.

No... never been able to play with sunglasses on. I wear a wide brimmed hat, but no other eye protection.

All the time, whether I am golfing or doing something else out doors. We get quite a bit of sun out here. I get mine from an eye doctor to avoid eye damage that might show up in later years.

I almost never do. If I need to keep the sun out of my eyes, I'll put a visor on.

Funny thing is I tan pretty easily, so if I'm not careful and it's sunny, I'll get these funky crow's feet tan lines.

I wear them most of the time. I have a set of Rooly Vaticans with the amber lenses and an extra yellow lense for low light conditions. I tend to wear them from tee to green, remove them to read the putt and replace them before the next tee shot. In the bright sunshine of Arizona, they are almost a must for me.

I almost always wear sunglasses for outside activities. I have blue eyes which are very sensitive to light.

I almost always have mine on. Have a pair of Bolle Montauk's with polarized lenses. I've noticed the same thing as Amollerud - with them on I can see more of the details and definition both on greens and the course in general.

I wear regular eyeglasses with Photograde lenses and I have done so for as long as I can remember, so the sunglasses are basically "built in".

The hardest thing I've had to do as far as golf is concerned is to start wearing transition lenses (which allow for both distance and reading) a few years ago. It took a while to get used to the changing optics between the upper and lower portion of the lens, but it wasn't that bad. I have separate distance and reading glasses, but it's awkward to change from one to the other on a golf course, so the transitions work as a decent compromise.

But as far as the Photogrades are concerned, they work like a charm and they darken quite a bit so glare is never a problem. In fact, the biggest problem I have with them is walking into a dark room after being in the bright sunshine because it takes about 20 seconds or so for them to lighten. But other than that, they're great.

I wear big ones when I golf. It makes me look like Yoko Ono.

I wear sunglasses and a hat for almost every round. I've tried golfing with just the sunglasses and no hat, but for some reason it didn't feel right. I like the oakley half jacket XLT glasses. I also have a pair of polarized sundogs that are pretty good.

Pardon Me?

I own only one pair of sunglasses - a pair of Maui Jim Barracudas - that I don't wear when making a stroke. They're great sunglasses and don't distort my vision in any way, but for some reason I don't can't hit the ball well when I wear them. If I do wear them when I play, I'll wear them only between shots. They don't bother me when I slide them into my pocket, even on full swings.

Unless it's overcast and dark, I wouldn't think about playing a round without sunglasses. Protecting my eyes and my skin from the sun are important to me.

I will wear them between shots, can't play with them down though. I personally believe that the golfers out there on tour who play with them down are hurting themselves, there is no way you see the grain or the break as clearly with sunglasses on, just my opinion.

I don't but would like to. I too have blue eyes so the sun gets to me. My Ray Bans throw off my depth perception just a little and I can't use them for golf.

What brand and such would you sun glasses wearers suggest?
