I go to three different fitters every so often. Callaway, Ping, and a private club maker/fitter. I let the private guy make the final decision since he has been watching my swing for the past bunch of years. However, most of the time they all three pretty much agree as to what I need. If there is a change, the private guy builds me a club per the new specs, and I give it try for a few rounds. If it plays better than club it might replace, then we start looking at possibly changing something with my current equipment.

If you do not live anywhere near anything cool like that ^^^^^^^ I would search for locally owned mom'n'pops vs the big guys (Edwin Watts GG et al) because "usually" they fit you to your swing and NOT whatever is hoselling hot according to people who need xx-stiff shafts and 5.5* drivers.........
![]() I also go with Edwin Watts cause my local one know's, I as a customer do actually know quite a bit about my swing and golf mechanics in general so they stop trying to fit me into stuff I know will not work. (BB shafts and know Fubuki too, etc) Also try your local club, but be careful mine kinda messed with me a little cause their LM "said" the Fubuki was a good match for me. I couldn't figure out why my FT-9/Fubuki was only marginally longer than my 7 year old Nickent/Proforce Gold. Even though I mentioned the feel was off I relied on what they were saying and well I should've trusted my feel not their's or gotten a second opnion......... ![]() But your club might know you better so that is another option too. |

JB gave you the address with the link. Last time I was there was last year, and the cost was $50, which will be credited back if you buy a set of clubs. I just paid the $50, got my specs, and walked out. There use to be a free Ping fitter, at Las Vegas Golf, and Tennis located on the SW corner of Flamingo, and Paradise roads, next to P.F. Changs. I do not know if it is still free. No computers there, but the guy knew his stuff, and how to fit a person. When I go there and the guy gets done with me, I usually tip him something.
Las Vegas Golf Tennis - Bing Local While you are in Primm, win a lot of money. Let me know what kind of shape those two golf courses south of Primm are in. That is if you are golfing there. I heard something about a watering issue out there. Last time I golfed those courses was a couple of years ago. Where is there a callaway fitter in Vegas? I am going to be staying in prim this weekend and would like to have my clubs fitted.~Chris |
