Ever play Sherrill Park? It's in north Richardson. Probably about halfway between you and me (I'm in north Arlington)
http://www.sherrillparkgolf.com/ I don't mind playing a twilight round to save a few bucks. I played Course #1 a few months ago with a buddy, it's a D.A. Weibring renovation, and a lot of fun to play. Very strategic. I haven't played Course #2, it's supposed to be more wide open. I'll be up for either walking or riding. PM me, and I'll send you my cell # |

I'm playing in Waco Sunday or I'd join ya'll. Yes, Sherill Park is a good track. It has it challenges. I had to use my putter backwards and with my left hand (i'm a righty) to make a chip shot when my ball got stuck along the edge of side of the pond on the back nine. It was either that or stand in the middle of the pond. Made it an interesting round! Ya'll have fun and I'll try to meet up with ya'll another time.

Have fun you guys. ![]() Here is the FUN part: there is going to be a little "contest"... ..the 357 FrankenwoodJR driving contest. ![]() whoever (can) hit it the straightest+longest gets a free drink from the cartgirl! *** WHAT is a 357 FrankenwoodJR you ask ?? It is an 18deg, Ben Hogan JUNIOR 3wood head on a Fuji E370 S flex shaft. As I type, the epoxy is drying. by this evening/tommorow, I will know how much cartgirl money to bring ![]() *** provided the head does not fly off into a pond! |

We wound up losing a guy, and the course filled us in with another fella.
I'll let the others share how they played. I played just awful on the front. I wasn't "feeling" it. Crummy drive, follwed by chunked shot, followed by a nasty slice. The only thing that saved me was my chipping and putting. I carded only 16 putts on the front (which is pretty dang good for me) On the back, I started to feel a little better about my game. The first couple of holes, I started to put it together, and then the momentum picked up. I managed to play the back at 6 over, with only 10 putts (which is HUGE for me) I started to have some more confidence in my swing, and made some pretty good shots, and some great putts. (I managed only one 3-putt all day long) The course was in decent shape, there is a TON of water on it, and I had a good time playing with the members from the forum. |

Thanks, Gummi and pjcedog for coming out, I had a GREAT time
![]() Challenging course, quite a few doglegs. Greens rolled well! I _thought_ I had a 97, got home, entered my score into my HC website, and darn it, I had a 101 !! still good enough, as I was afraid of shooting something like a 115 or 120, with the course ratings ! ![]() well, really great to meet up and hopefully we can do it again, asap! |
