We just got word from a source at The Golf Channel that the next show will be taking place in Orlando. It will be filmed this summer. We have asked the Golf Channel PR to confirm, but have not heard back from them yet.

They announced it on a Golf Central 1 or 2 days ago. Something about including Rudy Giuliani's son (sorry I wasn't really listening). But you are right Orlando was the location and it was supposedly this month.

Giuliani, really? No big break from the courts, but maybe on a sports drama show?

Wonder what course they'll use. But it would be kind of interesting (but probably impractical from a production stand-point) to mix it up so the contestants don't get so cosy with a single set of greens, etc.

I hate that kid.

When did they announce it? Was it a commercial or something?

Add "High paying job for Harry that allows for lots of golf", "affordable, nice housing" and "date with Stephanie Sparks*" and we'll talk.

*Morgan Pressel, Paula Creamer, Michelle Wie, Anna Rawson, or Paige MacKenzie may be substituted for Stephanie Seymour.

Now you want Sparks and Seymour?

Just wathced Grey Goose 19th Hole, and Vince Cellini says he's taking a couple weeks away to film BB as one of the hosts. Maybe this is old news, but it was new to me.

Well, the short answer is "YES!" But it was a typo. I meant Sparks both times.

Spoiler Unless Seymour also lives in the Orlando area.

Good. Cellini was the original host and, while I haven't seen the seasons he hosted, I did see the celebrity episodes he did and he was good. He and Stina (assuming she is doing it again) should be a good team.

The rat is out of the bag:
Giuliani's son gets 'Big Break' - Golf Truth & Rumors

Giuliani's son gets 'Big Break'
Posted at 12:09 PM

Fresh from scoring a bogey in court, Andrew is hoping to launch his professional golfing career by winning a reality show.

The ex-mayor's 23-year- old son -- who turned pro at the beginning of the year -- is at Disney World competing in the Golf Channel's "Big Break," where the winner gets to go up against the big guys in a professional tournament.

The son of Rudy Giuliani and Donna Hanover has had a streak of bad luck.

He was kicked off the Duke University golf team when he was a junior for, among other things, throwing an apple at a teammate. He sued the university last summer, arguing he was promised "lifetime access" to Duke's golf facilities by ex-coach Rod Myers.

The new coach, Orrin Vincent, conspired to boot him from the team, he said. Duke responded that Giuliani got the boot for angry outbursts and his lawsuit landed in the rough.

A pun-loving federal judge quoted "Caddyshack" -- and employed seemingly every golf term in the book -- to scoff at the claim that the former mayoral son had a right to play for Duke.

Golf Channels Big Break Reality TV comes to Disney World | The Disney Blog

Looks like plenty of bombers, including both Finau brothers, and several potential hotheads. But the name that busted me up, so to speak, was Kevin Erdman, Courtney's husband and legendary greens reader:

Andrew Giuliani (New York, N.Y.) – Son of former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Donna Hanover, Andrew is looking to make a name for himself in the game of golf.

Ed Moses (Hollywood, Calif.) – A gold and silver medal winner as a member of the United States swim team at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, Moses’ goal is now the PGA TOUR. A member at Bay Hill Club and Lodge in Orlando, Fla., he once shot 64 on the course that hosts the TOUR’s Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Andreas Huber (Scottsdale, Ariz.) – Actress Susan Lucci’s son, the former Wall Street broker left the color of money to seek his fortune on the green.

Gipper Finau (Lehl, Utah) – Joins Tony as the first brother duo to play in the same Big Break series. Blessed with the long ball, Gipper, who turned professional at 16, once drove a 520-yard par 5.

Tony Finau (Lehl, Utah) – Hits the tee ball longer than his brother – or at least that is what he says in the spirit of sibling rivalry. Finau turned professional when he was 17 and made a cut on the PGA TOUR the same year.

Mike Perez (Scottsdale, Ariz.) – After playing the Nationwide Tour, Perez is looking for the chance to join brother Pat on the PGA TOUR.

Vincent Johnson (Portland, Ore.) – Received the Charlie Sifford exemption to play in the 2009 Northern Trust Open where he flirted with making the cut in his first PGA TOUR start.

J.R. Reyes (Omaha, Neb.) – With tattoos covering each arm, Reyes is not your typical golfer. While not looking the part, he has the talent to fit in on the PGA TOUR.

Kevin Erdman (Arcadia, Calif.) – Husband of Big Break Kaanapali alum Courtney Erdman, is it his time to shine on the Big Break stage?

Kevan Maxwell (Charleston, S.C.) – Aspiring golf professional by day, pizza delivery man by night, “K-Max” will do whatever it takes to play on the PGA TOUR.

Blake Moore (Monrovia, Calif.) – Friend of former Big Break competitor and PGA TOUR rookie James Nitties, Moore is a threat to win Big Break Disney Golf if he can control his inner demons.

Sean Kalin (Delray Beach, Fla.) – A junior standout who gave up golf for 20 years after being kidnapped, he is looking for a second chance in the game.

Meh. I'm just waiting for the next one, which should (hopefully) be all ladies.

I am going to try and watch this one from the beginning. I usually only get invloved about 3/4 of the way. But these sound like some interesting characters with some serious golf skills.

. . . with some serious golf skills.
One would think so, wouldn't they? But it seems like we see a bunch of sloppy play and bad shots and decisions every episode. Hope it's different this time.

This should be very interesting. I am sensing a trend with the casting of this episode. I'm thinking the BB producers were not intersted in seeing everyone get along (BB X Michigan, aka, "the Land of the Bland")?

Why would they be different than any other reality show?
