I've only played alone a few times. I like playing with friends whenever I can. Still don't feel I'm good enough to jump in with strangers yet. If I'm going to embarrass myself, I'd rather do it with people I know http://www.thehackersparadise.com/fo...ies/banana.gif

Many times in the evening I'll head to the course alone but will try and head out with players I meet at the course. Not a big fan of playing alone, but it's good to get out there and work on somethings. I don't know what it is about playing alone that I don't care for, for me golf is something better enjoyed with company.

Many times I have started alone only to catch up with a group and join them, or while waiting on a group in front, have the group behind catch me and have them join. Of course, if you want to meet people on the course, try picking up the wrong ball....that works.

That would never work at my course. The first few tee times are the most desired and therefore almost always are a threesome or foursome. If I want to play by myself I usually have to tee off in the afternoon.

When I was younger I used to play a lot as a single. It was fun, if I got out alone and the course was empty, to play a couple of balls.

Now, however, I don't get out that often, but when I do I want it to be with my buddies. For me, golf has become more enriching when shared with friends, swapping stories and cigars, and trying to beat each other in friendly competition.

I can't stand to play alone. I get bored.

I'm too busy trying to figure out how I screwed up the last shot to get bored.

I enjoy playing alone, at first it felt a little odd but you quickly get over that. Peace and solitude is great.

And here the early tee times can't be given away, nobody wants them.
