Default Going to try a double overlap grip
Owwza. I use an standard overlap grip.

My finger next to the Pinkie, hurts, hurts hrurts. All the time, since re-starting the game since Mid June.

Has anyone :
overcome a finger pain problem of similar nature, and how did you do it ?

Of interesting note:
Last year, I used a Baseball grip. My Pinkie finger and hand hurt a LOT.

It seems with using an standard Overlap grip the pain moved to the next finger!

Next week, I should go to a Doc and get some steroids??

Better still, go to the Doc and get some narcotics....your finger won't hurt and you won't care what your score is either, or what your name is, or where you live....

Seriously, I have tried all the different grips and I use the interlocking now exclusively. I have a little arthritis in my hands, but this grip doesn't seem to hurt at all. One thing, I don't swing so hard anymore either.

I will try at least 9 holes with an interlock too...

one problem, is not letting enough time go by without swinging a club, to let the finger heal, to find out how a grip works. of course, I may find I cant get the ball to go well with the other grips!

right now, Aleve is my best buddy

I have tried Jim Furyk's double overlap grip from time to time. My normal grip is the Vardon grip. But sometimes I start hitting hooks, and hard draws. When this happens on the course, my fix is to use the double overlap to help me to stop closing the club face. It helps to take my dominant right hand's control out of the swing so that my left hand has more control. I am puller, not a pusher. What I should do is just start using the double overlap grip all the time, but I started using the Vardon grip so long ago, it just feels natural to me. There have been times that I told my self to use the double over lap grip, then after the shot found I still used Vardon's grip. I have also heard that the double overlap grip can add a few extra yards to one's ball distance.

I use the baseball grip, it has never hurt my hands and I am doing pretty good with it, the others feel to unnatural to me but if it feels good for you guys go for it.

I just re-configured my Dad's clubs a few weeks ago, he's starting to have issues with arthritis.

I put Sensicore inserts in, and some midsized Lamkin Sting Free grips.

Lamkin Grips - Performance Grips Since 1925

True Temper - The #1 Shaft in Golf (the aftermarket ones that fit in your existing shafts : Golfsmith.com)

They took a TON of vibration out of the clubs. I fitted his 5 iron through Sand Wedge (didn't do the Lob, and his long irons are hybrids like mine)
