Default Favorite Holes
Do you have a favorite hole? One that you just seem to always play well?

I love the 13th at San Ignacio. What is so funny is that most people I play with just hate it. It is the course's signature hole and a par 5. You tee off from a tee that is elevated to a fairway that lays right to left at about 15 degrees. There is OB down the right and a pond guarding the left. There are actually two ponds and the second one curls around to the right to front the entire green.

A long tee shot challenging the ponds on the left will leave from 150 to 180 into the green. For some reason, this tee shot seems to scare all my buddies, they see the OB and the pond. I see a big fairway and an opportunity to putt for eagle instead.

Two of the three pictures that rotate on this site show the hole from the teebox and from behind the green. Green Valley, AZ Golf Courses, San Ignacio Golf Club

What's your favorite hole and why?

#1 at Westchase. Short par four with ob on the left and water on the right and on 3 sides of the green.

Beautiful hole. Living here in the desert, I forget what hardwood trees look like...

The 10th hole at my local muni. It's a 360 yd par 4. Your tee shot has to carry 200 yds of water then its just a 9 iron (for me anyway) to the green. The water plays with my friends heads and the entire hole is uphill so it's easy to underestimate which club to use with your second shot. I tee off with a 3w because if you hit the FW the hole is easy. OB left and if you go right you have to pitch back on to the FW.
