I have played courses that I just love. For some reason, most of the holes fit my eye, I play them well, and like to go back as often as I can. Glenwood CC in Glenwood, AR was one of them. It was built for lefties who like to fade the ball, just the opposite of most courses. Dell Urich here in Tucson is another as is San Ignacio in Green Valley, AZ.
Do you have courses that just seem designed for you? |

I have yet to find a whole course that just seems to fit my eye. There are definite holes on my home course that I really like playing but there are also two holes that when I step onto the tee box and look at the fairway I always think to myself “I am just not comfortable”, even though handicap wise they aren’t that difficult.
I never really understood what commentators were talking about when they referred to not fitting a player's eye but it became pretty apparent as soon as I started playing. |

Courses for Horses? This course, http://www.hlgolf.com/main.asp?ID=3 , used to have their marshals and course girls ride around on horseback. I don't know if they still do it, but it there is something to being said about a little filly in chaps on a little filly.
