Default oh just POOOOOWWWW!!!
and I twisted my driver head loose.

Must be from watching too many Hammer infomercials.

I swear each time I watch it, my swing speed increases by 5mph!!

At least I had an excuse for that last slice...

Well, she is reglued up.

maybe I should find an alternative to the truck's hot interior the clubs stay in all day at work!!

Probably a little late, but I bought a driver once that the head snapped off after just a few swings. I sent it in and they replaced it because the glue had been allowed to run up inside the graphite shaft above the hosel. Evidently this makes a weak point. Hope yours didn't get too much glue.

Well......it was previously reshafted, a few weeks ago, but not by me... lol.
If in the next few days or weeks...the shaft breaks, you can bet I will be going to get a free replacement..

unless car interior heat (texas) can really be enough to cause the problem. then its my fault.

I read that cold can be an issue, but I'm not sure about heat.

Yeah, heat's an issue with pretty much any adhesive. The inside of a car here in Texas during the summer can reach temperatures of over 160°. (it's worse if you have a dark colored vehicle, my truck's dark green and it gets hoooooooooooooootttttt in there)

Crack those windows, and park in the shade. Otherwise, carry them in, and stick them in a corner of your office.

yep good advice. Some of the epoxies other than oem have lower temp breakdown points to aid in future reshafting.Interior heat could well be the culprit.

Exactly. Heat is really bad for grips too. I've seen heat do some nutty things to rubber grips that have been subject to prolonged exposure to heat.

Neither the heat of a car interior nor the cold will affect the epoxy at all. The cold will affect the graphite shafts however but it's not an issue unless you start hitting balls when the shafts are ice cold.

I wondered about that. My clubs are either in the interior of my truck or in the aluminum treadplate truckbox in the bed. For years prior to that, I kept them in the trunk of a company car in all weather. Summers and winters in Arkansas can be brutal both hot and cold. Now, in Arizona, I can assure you that touching anything in the interior of my truck will blister you on the hottest days.

I've never had anything come loose except the pitching wedge and I don't think heat got to it since the rest of the set was fine.

The re-epoxied club held up well yesterday evening.
I made a pencil mark on the shaft next to the hosel, by which I could tell if the head moved.

no problems.
