Default Easier Golf?
I was going through my library of books. I do this every so often, and donate a few to the local library branch. One thing that struck me was the number of books on golf I have accumulated over the years. Got me to thinking about all the hype, and drama on golf instruction, from the various instructors fogging up our brains with all kinds of "my way is the best" instruction tidbits.

So I ask you; Do you think that a simpler way to learn the golf swing, based purely on sound fundamentals, has been lost over the years?

Nothing that is easy.Remember lessons take alot of hard work and dedication to stick with the teachings. It takes time to see any changes.

I don't know
It would seem it's simpler than some would have you beleive. But then maybe that's why I've been struggling to break 120.

Sounds like a good idea for an instructional book, something along the lines of Golf for Dummies.

Kinda like Cliff notes. Golf 101. Hell though in a 100 page book 95 would be on rules and Etiquette

That would have to be two separate editions.

Just think back to Ben Hogan's fundamentals. It wasn't so easy then. It's no easier now.

Yep. Given that he spent something like 11 or 12 hours per day practising, I'd say that the game was pretty difficult then too.

I hope Ben was right and it is "in the dirt" because I am certainly moving enough of it to find it eventually.
