Guidelines issue

Seeing the Kevin Na disaster got me thinking. The principle states one choice whenever a rest is unplayable is re-hitting from the place of the first chance. If it's unplayable but you hit your ball in the woods and hit a provisional since it may be dropped, then discover your ball in the woods, could you make use of the provisional? Or have you got to return and hit still another shot since the provisional was hit just in case the ball was lost? an lie when you don't know the ball is unplayable till it is found by you and state it unplayable just how can you re-hit from the initial spot? Or may a ball be multi-purpose just in case a ball is often dropped or unplayable? I'm thinking since you already have the provisional sitting anywhere, good or bad, and that will have a large impact on which choice you could make concerning the "unplayable" ball. Does/do the question( s) seem sensible? Kevin
