Default Extreme Couponing
Anyone else watch this show? It's pretty hilarious.

"Mom, why are we cutting out coupons for dog food when we don't have a dog?"
"DOESN'T MATTER IT'S FREE!"

Stupid child.

A different couponer: " If I didn't have couponing my life would be kind of dull...." Jesus. lol

In this episode I'm watching, a woman buys a cow so she can get her meat in bulk. Smart lady.

That stuff doesn't impress me much. I only see them buy junk, never a good deal on meat , chicken, or fruits and vegetables.

A lot of the people I see stockpile stuff that they don't even use. I just don't get it. I mean, I'm all for saving money and I would love to be able to go into the grocery store and walk out w/ a buggy full for a few bucks...but I'm not spending several hours a day cutting coupons for it. My time is more valuable, LOL

I had a friend in high school whose dad was super into couponing.... not quite to the level of the people on the show, but their basement had 3 or 4 storage shelving units packed with all sorts of hygiene products & dry goods. Apparently he spent a good 4-5 hours every week clipping coupons, and would have to time his grocery shopping trips for times when he wouldn't clog up the lanes.

I saw a scene of a mother and her kids having a paper towel fight in their hoard room....like 5289652876556765 rolls of paper towel strewn about.

I'm confident this couponing craze will bring me a lot of psychiatric clients in the future.

extreme couponing leads to hoarding which leads to clutter which in turn leads to Clean house....so, actually you could be on three or more reality shows.....good lord....

I got a coupon for 25 cents off a litre of gas when we went grocery shopping.

Saved 13 bucks on a tankful!

That's a nice savings. We have coupons with our groceries for gas too, usually a couple of cents each time, but they can be saved and combined for one faily decent savings...any saving in gas is a good one...$1.40/litre is hard on the bank acct.

It's really good for household products, TP, paper towels, paper plates, toothpaste, fem hygiene, dish and laundry soap, shampoo/conditioner (and other hair products), cleansers, etc. But I agree with Maulds, show me the good deals and savings on hormone free/lean meats, fruits, vegetables, etc. I can't feed my family off of mac and cheese, spam, and peanut butter and jelly the rest of our lives.

It's rare to find coupons for fresh food. Milk has been good lately, and so have eggs. I actually got some coupons a couple weeks ago for pork tenderloin. But it is really hard to find.

I buy three papers a week, when I remember, and I don't feel the least built guilty because I save more than that with each paper. I mostly stock up on non-perishables. Lots of cleaners, shampoos, conditioners, toothpastes, all basically free. I did "buy" a bunch of floss, but I got $0.20 overage for each one, so that helped with the fresh food stuff.

The trick is to not buy things you don't use, like the dog food. I pass really really good deals up all the time (with a little pouting) because it's something I won't use.

Ur right, it is hard to find coupons on fresh food. That's why it's so much cheaper to buy junk......
