doesnt saudi arabia have female religious police for dealing with women, had that been the case, the laanti media would not have so much to rant about this I feel. In my opinion it is appropriate that female police deal with the women on such issues. Allahualam. Saudi has female poice in and around the haram I have heard, and they are strictly covered from head to toe.

She's right, last I checked having lipstick or wearing nail varnish isn't against the rules in Saudi...so the religious police had no right to ask her to get out of the Mall. |

Um, last time I checked, wearing makeup and lipstick can attract the opposite sex and lead to fitna and goes against islam. Its not whether its permissable according to saudi monarchy law but according to islamic sharia. Women in islam are adviced to conceal their adornments and save it for their husbands in the privacy of their own homes.
{And tell the believing women to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts and not expose their adornment except that which [necessarily] appears thereof}[Quran 24:31] Anyway, this report just goes through one ear out the other, another media piece added to the 100s that are out there to suggest that islam is oppressive to women, stipulates her rights blah blah blah and the fact that we have differing views adds the icing to their cake. I.e It creates the notion that islam, rather than being a very simple religion that safeguards and upholds the dignity and honour of women, is one that does the opposite effect and causes confusion and controversy. I suggest all muslim women who immediately jump on the satanic bandwagon of "freedom" and "equal rights" to read the seerah of the ummal momeen and keep quiet! I applause the man who had the decency to inform her that she is enticing every man in the shopping centre, a few tears shed here will save her from a bucketful of tears for all of eternity in the akhira! |

This is what students are being taught in university and school. To fight for "their" right. And when this is outside, being implemented now who will fullfill other's right when they are fighting for their rights? subhanallah. And the mall that lady is the big clock tower next to the baitullah, and that is within the haram boundary. Now is that how a person would behave? that shaykh is giving time for the sake of Allah (swt) to stop the spreading of fitnah, by stopping things where it can spread like a virus. Not only that, al hamdullillah I have been 'umrah many times, and the recent 'umrah was devastated with two couples with their hands over each other's shoulders, and ma'azallah is this a place to do these filthy things? just right next to the baitullah, within the haram boundary? I was about to go and talk to them about this, but my dad and my brother was next to me, so I did not made much notice of that and tried to ignore at my best. And inshallah I will never enter that place again. I am against this building of clock tower and all these large malls, are they making a place of worship or a place called las vegas? If Allah (swt) (Allah (swt) is qadir, can do anything)) made one sahabi (ra) alive, they would run away. Just like moulana makki al hijazi (db) said, if Allah (swt) made abu jahal alive, he would even run away, as these acts were not even in the mind of his own. |

lol she is going to put the video on facebook and twitter??? does she not realise that the one that really matters, Allah, already knows what has passed???
it seems like she was the one screaming and creating fitnah. all she had to do was comply with the rightful request of the religious police to cover her hair like anyone else and she would have been left alone. this is the law of Allah and this is the law of saudi. if she doesnt want to follow the law of Allah then i suggest she seeks shelter with the kuffar of america or britain. |

Disgusting behaviour by the so called ''Mutaween'' of Saudi Arabia- harassing a woman by following her and shouting at her disrespectfully is now seen as ''proper'' - truly our egos have reached such a state that we praise the actions of a rude and insolent man who thinks he can intimidate and bully whoever he wishes. At the start of the video - the man is clearly shouting rudely at the woman. ![]() ![]() |

^^What part of 'he DOES NOT have the power to kick her out of the Mall' don't you get?
Under new rules set by the King, they should only ''advice'' as the sister in the clip said {i think you chose not to hear that bit}, they are forbidden under the new rules to harrass women based on their clothes etc.. “You are not in charge of me,” she shouts back, referring to new constraints imposed earlier this year on the religious police banning them from harassing Saudi women for their attire. “The government has banned you from coming after us,” she tells the men, adding, “you are only supposed to provide advice and nothing more.” In January, King Abdullah appointed a moderate to head the religious police raising hopes that a more lenient force would ease strict social constraints in the country. Sheikh Abdullatif Abdel Aziz al-Sheikh banned volunteers from serving in the commission which enforces the kingdom’s strict Islamic rules. In April he went further when he prohibited the religious police from “harassing people” and threatened “decisive measures against violators.” The lady is 100% right! That's why she called the Police to complain against the HARRASSMENT...and as you can see the clip, the police are asking the MUTAWE3EEN to leave the Mall. She knew the LAW was on her side otherwise she wouldn't create a fuss! Obviously you don't even know about the new rules and regulations in Saudi Arabia and you live there lol |

Salam u alaikum,
I admit the sister in the video behaved inappropriately and Allahu alam if the mutawa was doing his job accordingly or not. but one thing i must say is that, what brought this sister to come to this level. When we muslim men live like hypocrites, and our so called shariah system implemented in Saudia is also full of hypocrisy , then i dont know who to blame, the sister or mutawa. This is just a symptom of a deeper problem, I think the Saudi men/ authority has to be equally blamed who first letting filth creep into their society because of their own desires and then are getting surprised on whats happening to their women. This actually applies to all muslims all over the world too. May Allah protect all of us from fitnah. |

![]() I'm not sure how things are run in Saudi Arabia but in Canada shopping malls/centres are not public property. People are invited to the property as guests but the mall owners have the right to turn people away. Likewise, stores within malls have the right to refuse service to people but of course it is bad business to do so (unless necessary). So, generally speaking, people don't get banned from or kicked out of malls and stores unless they go against rules etc. People generally have the ability to voice complaints with mall management and can also take their grievances to a lawyer. ![]() |

^^What part of 'he DOES NOT have the power to kick her out of the Mall' don't you get? You're right I don't know the laws about women, cause I try not to go near them, and I try not to go to malls because of this type of Fitnah, and I know that if it were me I would have gotten angry at her. I very highly doubt (even if the women in the video said so) that the law says you can't tell women to cover properly (hijaab at least) She is uncovered, and EVEN if the "law" says not to "harrass her" she still has to be covered properly, so it's still ANYONES Islamic duty to enforce that upon her. |
