my question is regarding having a god son/daughter..

does islam allow us to have god children?

No, I don't think it's allowed, unless by godparent you just mean the person appointed by the parents to care for the child in the case of their deaths.

that's the conventional use of the term, so that's probably what he is asking...you know like a "godfather"...

lol...I wish more Italians would convert to Islam. We could use some halal Italian restaurants.
