basically i just want to know if its really bid'ah bid'ah, or if its just not sunnah. meaning: will you be sinning (guilty of doing bid'ah) if you exchange gifts with your family and friend's on this day?

Fasting Can Be Done On The

Sunday Monday OR

Monday Tuesday

Today After Maghrib In The UK, The 6th Of Muharram Began

Saturday After Maghrib The 9th Will Begin Whilst The 10th Will Begin After Maghrib On Sunday Lasting Till Maghrib On Monday

urrmm. i dunno coz saudi sighted planet saturn instead of the moon for eid - so maybe the dates are gone a lil fong kong.

Still, i wish someone can verify.

In S.A fasting is on monday and tuesday or tuesday and wednesday.

^ You're telling me the experts in moon sighting confused the moon with Saturn??? strange...

Our scholars in Lebanon said in the Sermon that 10th is on Monday, 9th is Sunday so I may fast on these.

JZK for the info; and Alhamdulillah, it's nearly the 10th of Muharram again; insha'Allah will fast on Sunday and Monday (4th and 5th of Dec)

Change of plan methinks.

10th of Muharaam will insha'Allah be on Tuesday the 6th of December (not on the 5th as previously thought), so will fast on Monday (and Tuesday) insha'Allah.

aaww,

saudi has decided to change the date few days into the month.
so no moon was sighted in saudi and dhul hijjah had 30 days just as wifaqul ulama had said.
i hope this mistake wakes up the followers of saudi.
may ALLAH SWT guide us all. AMEEN.

Brother i think hes trying to say that it doesnt make sense that he does it on friday because muhharam started on either sat or firday (depending on who u follow) therfore it should be either monday or tuesday...
so where did he pull the friday from? if im not mistaken that is.

For Those Who Are Still In Doubt On What Days To Fast, It Would Be Advisable To Fast On The Monday And Tuesday As Well As Check And Enquire In The Local Masjid
