As-salamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh brothers and sisters.

What is the ruling of wearing ta'wiz?
Some say that it is okay to wear ta'wiz as long as it:
1. Contains the names of Allah.
2. In Arabic language.
3. Does not contain anything that is kufr.
4. The users believe that the power comes from Allah, not from that ta'wiz.

But some say that wearing ta'wiz is shirk because we are relying on it. And we actually should pray direct to Allah SWT.

Same goes to wafaq, is it okay to wear it?
Because I have one. The wafaq has the image of Rasulullah SAW footwear.
And inside the footwear is written some Arabic verses.
Is this considered to be shirk?
If it is, what should I do to that wafaq?
