you are going to have to be more specific with your question. do you mean arming the general public?

also your poll is very constrained. a person could be in favour of guns but that doesnt necessarily mean he is in favour of arming the public.

in an ideal society where there is no crime and people are responsible enough to own and use guns safely then that would be fine but as we do not live in an ideal society the public should not have guns.

actually hazrat, you should know more than me cause you have lived there. In an ideal society people should NOT own guns.

even there i would not advocate the public having guns and there were strict laws there too.

by ideal society i mean where there is no corruption at all and no desire for corruption and there is no crime and no desire to commit crime.

a muslim is allowed to carry arms. Did the sahabah not carry arms outside war? Did the sahabah not regularly practice shooting and these other warrior like sports. Most Muslims these days are very very weak. Many Muslims are like girls these days like my friend calls them 'flower power'. We need to be a strong nation. In the UK many kuffar of a certain race specifically target muslims (or asians to be more precise) as they are seen as weaklings. A lot of guys need to act like men and realize that weakness is not good.
