![]() Someone I know told me about today's khutba in the masjid. The imam talked about a hadith which is something like this..."If wudu lasts longer then it's a sign of a momin and mercy from Allah swt". Does anyone know of this hadith, I am told it's from Tirmidhi. It really saddened me and distressed me because I have a problem which makes me perform a new wudu every salah. I cannot keep my wudu for long. Would this mean one who has this issue it's a sign that they are outisde Allah's mercy? The person who told me made it sound like this. I am sure there is something missing here. Could someone please clarify this or give me the hadith inshaAllah? ![]() |

Salaam,
In al-Muwatta', Malik says: "It has reached me that the Prophet said: '(Try to) keep to the straight path although you won't be able to do so completely; and know that the best of your deeds is the salah, and only a (true) believer preserves his wudu." This is what I found in a quick search of Fiqh-us-Sunnah. Someone with more knowledge can give a better understanding of this. Wallahualam. |

![]() Actually that goes against the spirit of Wudu' - being ibadat on its own, renewal of wudu is what's recommended. |
