leadership of woman
Salam alikum,
I would like to create my oipinion on women leadership in islam, specially leadership at work and then political leadership and state leadership. I have read a lot about subject, for example story of Benazir Bhuto, and some islamic view on this subject also the hadith where is mentioned that no state under woman leadership will prosper. I would appreciate any idea, I hope it will be interesting for many to make more clear picture about this woman role beside other her roles. |
Salam,
Nobody interested in subject? |
salam
no id on't think anyone is that interested, however sister i might add that the your making/question you're asking in the first post is not clear. |

Walaikum assalam I think as the leadership is not the area of women I didn't show much interest to discuss. If it is related to homely subjects, I think many women would show interest. I don't know about men though. Allahu alam. |
Salam alikum,
I try to be more specific - does islam encourage in a certain way leadership of women? I mean we all are given gifts from God which we are obliged to develop. Are there some barriers for woman to be leader? May be this is better formulation.... |

is there some hadith saying that woman can not make leadership outside family, for now I would skip state leadership. I consider family first always, that is not a problem. There is question acceptance of women leaders - when that could be possible and why not. |

OK thank you http://discussworldissues.com/forums...nnah_smile.gif I am not in SISTER section because I am new and have not access allowed yet - may be I can discuss there later. I spoke to some other brothers they do not have problem with women leadership, there is nothing mentioned in hadith that woman must make directly all home works and that men can not support woman in leadership and still stay in position according to islam. Otherwise I would think that woman can not make her own decisions. |

you will get the same answer there which is the answer from the quran and hadith.....women are not allowed to be leaders. |

Ok thank you, may be I will discuss just getting more overview, so far I havent seen the hadith or verses forbidding this role. Read may articles about leadership in details, and there are examples when muslim women are leaders. Really , one day I woul like to have clearer opinion about it. |

Anytime my female supervisor at work tells me what to do, I just laugh in her face! "Women can't lead, astaghfirallah!"
Actually, I've only been in my job for 1 day, and my boss is a male... As it should be! Am I right fellas? AM I RIGHT? :fistbump: Silliness aside, Dr. Umar Faruq Abd-Allah was of an entirely different opinion about that hadith (that is, that it applied to a specific situation and not all situation) but I got the idea that he was very much in the minority with that interpretation. I can't post the quote cause it's somewhere deep in his "Famous Women in Islam" CD set. |

Assalamu alaykum
There is beautiful new mosque of Sheikh Zayed in Abu Dhabi - the project manager was woman. How does it matter. Was it not possible by men? Men are good cooks too. So shall we switch responsibilities. |

There is nowhere written that woman must cook at home, even we like very much this activity - even not all of us. I can ensure you I realize my responsibility toward my family, and our natural tendences to be more servis minded and helpfull, but I dont understand about resistance in society not accept the leadership. The rope betweem man and woman is invisible. Only allah knows the best. We are not encouraged to take resposiblity of leadership as that is very difficult role, I would also use expression - we are discouraged - which I can very easily accept. But it is not forbiden. |
