Abridged Hayatus-Sahaba
 

Asslamo Allaikum,

Just seen an "abridged" version of Hayatus-Sahaba in English (by Zam Zam Publishers) but failed to look at the Author and read the foreword etc?

Who abridged it?
What was the criteria of abridgement?
Was it done with the Mushwara of Akabir of Tableeghi Jamaat?

The work is by Mufti AH Elias, who probably used the Dar al-Alam edition titled "Mukhtasar Hayat as-Sahabah".

I have no idea who did the abridging and what criteria was used.
The foreward to the arabic edition should mention that.
