Default Tafsir Maariful Quran
I just recently started reading this tafsir and I was wondering when was it written and were the footnotes written by Mufti Muhammad Shafi himself or a later editor?

The reason I ask this is because I am truly impressed by the knowledge the footnotes reveal on western academia. I wasn't aware that our scholars studied the works of Martin Luther, Rousseau, Voltaire, etc. Not to mention the footnotes actually portray the thinking of modern muslims quite accurately
