New with a constipation question.
I have started low carbing last week and did great but am so constipated, I read the other poston constipation and am trying some different things. I have been using chi seeds, I take a probiotic. Should I start with some Metamucil or something? I think I'm getting enough oil, I have 2 fried eggs in the morning and salad dressing is oil and vinegar. Just not sure what to try next.
Also one more question, I goofed up and had a big candy/carb mess up for two days and boy did I feel like crap, bloated, tired, just yucky. Is this normal because if it is I don't want to mess up again. Thanks for any help, I look forward to jumping in on some of the posts. Michelle |
If you can, get some Natural Calm http://www.calmnatural.com/ and have it in water or tea about half an hour before bed. You will sleep well and get cleaned out. Also be sure you are eating enough fat, try adding in coconut oil somewhere, too.
yes, after a carby blowout, you feel really tired, bloated (gained back all that water) and achey.... come on over to the Progress field and start your own thread... WELCOME!!! |
Welcome Michelle. You rconstipation problem will go away as your body adjusts, and antural things like what Arlene has recommended are better than the 'explosives' approach. Look forward to seeing your progress.

I am new here but when I started I had the same problem and found that a good cup of cleansing tea. Yogi has one for liver and kidney function but it works for constipation really well.Sweeten it with stevia and you'll never know it's good for you. I would only drink 2 cups the first day.
