Carbs in 1/2 cup Walden Farms chocolate syrup

Somewhere on the forum (I can't find the post now) someone said that a tablespoon of Walden Farms syrup has 0 carbs and calories and he/she wanted to know if there are any carbs/calories in, for example, half a cup. I emailed Walden Farms and asked how many carbs in 1/2 cup chocolate syrup and their reply is that it contains 1.6 grams. I didn't ask how many calories. I'm posting this in the hope that the person who posted the syrup question will see this. It is easy to email Walden Farms via a link in their webpage, and they were quick to reply to my email.

They claim all of their products are carb and calorie free (for a serving size). I like their syrups and 'fruit spreads' and some say their barbeque sauce is good, and I'm sure they have other products that are good, but I purchased a dip and a salad dressing that tasted like chemical poison, so you have to be picky about which products to buy from them.

I have been using the waldens choco syrup since I started. I got mine at my health food store and they have a curse on artificial sweeteners. It is yummy on my sf jello and when I use it for a snack, mixed in with my coconut mana and oil. Extra yummy!

I mostly use the syrups in baking. I use the chocolate over ice cream and the strawberry and pancake syrup on my pancakes. All 3 are delish. There is no health food store near here but Walden products are cheaper at the Netrition website than they are at the Walden Farms site, plus they only charge $4.95 shipping no matter what you order, so each time I order enough to last several months.
