This is my first time doing the HCG diet and I am on day 9 but im not losing very much weight. I am sticking to the protocol and not cheating. on my last appointment my doctor told me to drink more water and i started doing that but now I have gained wieght the next thing he wants to try is an apple day. I know I am getting ready to start my period could that maybe be effecting things? I am starting to get frustrated and discouraged cause I have not even lost 5 pounds yet, but i dont want to give up. But this is very expensive and if its not going to work i dont want to continue. I am doing very well on the deit and to my surprise I am not hungry but the fat it just not coming off as quickly as I was thinking and hoping. maybe my expectations were too high?

Sorry like I said I am new to all of this... I am eating things like chicken streak hamburger spinach lettuce shrimp asparagus I am weighing everything out for my meals one meat one veggie. For snacks I am eatting an apple orange or 4 strawberries. I eat two meals and two snacks making sure to not eat two snacks in a row. I wait 3 hours before eattin. I am doing the shots but I will have to check the dosage later. I started at 250 and am looking to lose at least 100 pounds I gotta long way to go. Right now the scale is saying about 247 every time I check for the past few days. I was just thinking I should have more loss.

I started off in a Diet Clinic, spent about $400, then from this site quickly figured out I could order my own at a fraction of the cost. You may want to check into doing that for yourself. **cough*alldaychemist*cough** Also check out the Lipotropics thread, I think you will find that very interesting, the Beplex Forte will give you an added boost of energy and fat burning assistance. |

Thanks, I want to stick with and am still waiting to find out if insurance will cover it crossing my fingers. But on a good note well i dont know if its a good note i am a pound down from yesterday, but its still kinda the same day for me cause i have to work an over night shift and havent slept but i figure i would try and weigh myself about the same time and I am down a pound. Maybe it really was just not enough water. I will look into ordering if my insurance doesn't cover for sure!

Ashley - Hang in there, I know it's frustrating! I also started thru a clinic spent about $600 only to gain weight before finding this forum & doing it myself! The scale might not show a loss but have you measured yourself? I know in the beginning I lost more inches than weight & then I started noticing a difference on the scale. You said your getting your period, TOM (time of month) TOTALLY messes everything up! If you are about to get your period I wouldn't pay attention to the scale until you are DONE! You will most likely retain water all through out TOM... luckily I just finished but since I am in week 2 which is known for slow losses & stalls... I will weigh myself again in week 3.
Don't give up! You will see losses soon!!! |

Yes, hang in there and be aware of certain things that can cause a slowdown or even a gain:
Stress Constipation Not enough water Not enough sleep Eating too close to bedtime TOM Inflammation Other medications Hormone/thyroid conditions Strenuous exercise/work/muscle soreness Unknown sensitivities to food you are eating including artificial sweetener, gluten, tomatoes, shrimp, cabbage All in addition to deviations from Dr. Simeons' protocol as listed in Pounds & Inches. BTW, do not waste your time on an apple day. Dr. S said it was merely psychological in that it would cause water weight, which is regained in the next couple of days anyway. As has been said, inches are often lost when the scale is slow. Take measurements and keep track weekly. It can help. On 500 calories and HCG, weight loss will happen. Good luck! |
