I'm trying what you guys were talking about in that hair thread which I can't find.

Then I remember I think Hotty?? said something about vinegar rinses, so I looked them up.
Look at all the different things you can do!

I am totally going to go do a vinegar rinse. I'll let yall know how it turns out!

it really didn't get "nasty" till today. you can totally tell my roots are too oily, but the rest of my hair looks ok.

I just put it up in a fancy twist and ...yeah it's gross.

Doing the vinegar thing in a bit.

With the oil and vinegar in your hair all you need is a little oregano and you'll TOTALLY smell Italian.

Janie dont do that, Vinager has acid in it the only reason it makes you hair look nice is cause you are dissolving it. Same as Pantene shampoo it strips your hair to make it shiny and Fructis (or however you spell it) its really not good for it.

I washed my hair with vinegar today actually I did it, because I read that it gets all the residue out that you get from shampoos/conditioners/ and other stuff you put in your hair. I'm trying to dread my hair so I need that shit gone. I wasn't expecting it to smell as bad as it did though xD

it says to dilute it.

Roxi I'm going to try it this once! I promise it won't be able to jack up my hair that much. I have a lot of thick hair. And it's pretty healthy since I don't dye or style it too much with heat.

I have room to ruin.

But I have to say I am totally disappointed in the fact that it's not good for your hair...the website says it is. But imagine that - a website that's wrong!!!

that's a good article peter!!!

"Then, one evening earlier this year, I sat down and read the labels of everything I used and worked out I was applying more than 200 different chemicals to my body each day. These are said to be safe, but what is not known is the effect that the 'cocktail' of chemicals is having on our bodies."
She adds: "With the incidence of diseases such as breast cancer on the rise, it's difficult not to wonder if these products could partly be to blame. Health campaigners are particularly worried about a group of chemicals called parabens, which are added to cosmetics to prevent them from degrading." I see when searching this that there is mainly positives regarding vinegar and hair

I kind of suspect it won't do any harm

Next time one of you go to your hair dresser you could get their opinion.

ok so whether it's from not washing it for days or if it's due to the vinegar rinse, my hair is being super healthy.

the vinegar smell disappeared when my hair dried.

I also have not gotten any tangles in two days which is never happens. I braid my hair at night so I don't get tangles while I sleep. Didn't do it last night and still no tangles!

I think cider vinegar is much better than white or brown...do you use cider vinegar?

and it would still have to be better than all the laurel sulphates in the shampoos.

I washed my hair with Neutrogena soap for years when my dad got the stuff for free....best my hair ever looked

Mind it, ladies, nowadays most vinegars are made from diluted ASCETIC ACID...and ought to be avoided. Ascetic acid is a chemical and if you used it mistakenly (due to probable mislabelling, aging, oxidation, etc) it might necessitate the wearing of a wig
