hehe phew, it's good to hear u say that Patty.

How far did u run today?
Is it best to add carbs when going to be running? In Cool running there is such debate (polite way of saying it) about atkins and low carb. There are some that make it work, but generally the view is atkins / low carb can't work when ur running.

I don't run far or for long and don't want to add too much too soon, but can't stay awake come lunch time. I'm thinking of an oatmeal breakfast as all my fitness is in the morning and I generally don't eat my carbs till night time, just the way it works out really.

What do you reckon

I still have over 40lb to lose, I'm happy at 1 lb a week or fortnight but dont' want it to stop altogether.

Don't feel bad. I knew I was going for a big run today, so I had 2 slices of pizza last night (it was a small frozen pie), then an energy bar this morning (28 carbs), 2 cups of coffee and a cupcake No wonder, I couldn't stop, lol!

Looks like W5D3 will be here before my shoes. (sigh) Really, I'm not to nervous about the run. I think I'll be okay as long as I have enough energy. Today I do W5D1. I was going to do it tomorrow, but my wife felt like I'd be slacking if I waited. So, I'm out there!

Hey... I just got some new Shoes.

100% Rubber sole.
100% leather.
Cross-training / Hiking shoes.

And the best part is they are Waterproof. Nothing can stop me now.

Bad part was they were the most expensive shoe in the whole darn store... 150.00 :P

OH yea, I should add I walked in the snow with them this morning, and my feet are already feeling much better then they did. Plus the shoes look dry as a bone still

We're cheering you both on !

Too bad about the shoes. I just got my Road Runner Sports catalog in the mail. Shoes are supposed to last between 300 and 500 miles. Mine have about 400, and I have a marathon in 6 weeks. I'd hate to try new shoes at this point, but I'm afraid mine may reach their breaking point at a critical time. Of course, they changed my model a little bit, so I'm a little leary.
