terrific NYPD!! It's tough sometimes to make myself go when I've had a long day or just want to let the cable tv wash over me, but every time I made myself go when I didn't want to I have always left feeling energized. I think for me, I'll never be able to maintain a lower weight without exercise. You can do it! You are doing it!! best wishes, lynne

That is so awsome Craig. I know exactly how you feel about this place. Patty once said that if you force yourself to go for just 2 weeks, that by the end of that time it will have become a habit. It's true for the most part Craig.

I'd suggest make a schedule of days you will go, and then stick to it. Even if your not feeling up to it, or lazy.. Just get your ass out there.. and before you know it, you want to go all the time.

It might, be a good idea to do it at the same time every day aswell, that way your are more likely to see the same people and develop some friendships and further encouragement to keep going.

Hmmmm, how about starting a fitness thread here? Post your schedule, and then post each time you did go or you didn't go.. That way we can all give you shit if you mess up?

All the best Craig... You'll do great dude.

Default I JOINED A GYM!
I can't believe how happy I am.

Since I was a cop, back in 2001 I have been out of shape and almost entirely home bound since 9/11.

Yesterday I joined a local gym. I feel like a million bucks! I went two days in a row and did 25 mins of Cardio on the treadmil and light weights!

I am amazed that I didn't sit in my house all day!

I am almost in tears actually. I just need the motivation to keep going. In the past I've always gone faithfully for a while, then slacked off. I don't want to do that this time. I am doing this for me. I want to get in shape finally. I'm almost down 30 lbs in 12 weeks.

I am counting on all of you to keep me motivated. Thus far you all have been wonderful and I thank god for this place.

So clap for me and please cheer me on!

YAY ME!
