When is the best time to train ?

Hello

I have always followed the principle that the best time to do any aerobic exercise, is first thing in the morning. On an empty stomach, this i believed ensured max fat burning.

My question is :

Now that iam folling the Atkins way, would the same principle apply ?

Would i better off having breakfast, waiting an hr or so, and then training ?

Which principle should i adopt to ensure max fat burning when following the Atkins way ?.

Thankyou

I don't see why it would be any different. I read that the first 20 minutes of exercise is burning stored carbs, then you start burning fat. First thing in the am you have less stored carbs in your body, so you supposedly start burning fat quicker. With Atkins, you'll have even less stored carbs.

I would do whatever fits your lifestyle best. There is no way that I could eat and wait an hour, then work out - I don't have that kind of time. I work out at 5am, which suits me best. On weekends, I workout later and perform better.

I've read over and over again that the best time is in the morning before your first meal. In these articles they always talk about upping your protein. So I don't see how the atkin's diet would change my opinion on the morning workout.

Not only does my weight fly off but I feel fantastic all day when I workout in the mornings.

But if you can only do it at lunch or in the evenings, this is way better than not working out at all! Exercise whenever you can fit it into your schedule!
