Unc Horse has a good point there; as well as a pretty avatar.
![]() Weight training is one of Dr. Atkins recommended exercise regimens. It should fit right in with your diet. By cutting back on the carbs, your weight training will help you lose more weight because of the high caloric burn it provides. If you're already a lifter, then you shouldn't experience too much muscle mass gain. Remember that if you are building muscle that can balance out fat loss at times and you might show no net weight loss. But if you're changing shape, you'll know you're losing the fat. My exercise wiped out almost two months of net weight loss, but I was losing a lot of fat while the scales hovered in place. Good Luck, and please keep us updated on this. It is most informative. ![]() |

In many ways, low carb dieting is perfect for building muscle mass / size because low carb translates into high protein, which is what the body uses to build muscle. Plus, the high protein prevents muscle loss and encourages fat loss, so your muscle gains will be even more apparent.
Good luck with the weight training and your introduction to Induction! |
