Body Flex. Sit on your butt and lose lots of inches. I wouldn't believe it but I have seen it work on 3 people now, so I stand behind it 100%. I recommended it to twosisters(a lady on here) and she bought it and lost I think, 6 inches in 1 week. Worth a try and eBay is the best & cheapest way to get one.

Wow! What a great idea! I always love a good dose of dance music http://www.lowcarbsite.com/images/sm...icon_smile.gif. Thanks a lot for that! I'll be sure to download those songs.

They are free and pretty handy http://www.lowcarbsite.com/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif

Kimbo,
I have several motivation issues as well. A little trick I use it to select 30 minutes of really upbeat dance music and just dance in my home. I warm up for about 5 minutes and cool down for about 5 minutes with slow songs, then I kick it up with high energy dance club songs. You can't believe how fun this is, and a great time to think.

Even in the beginning if you dance, it can get your heart rate up, and it's really fun.

While I am dancing I imagine a great looking guy watching me from across the room and it motivates me to keep going.
-------------------------------------
heres a list of the tunes I use in my workout

Candy Rain -warmup - 5mins
Get this party started(sweet dreams remix)-5mins
Like a prayer (techno remix)-9 mins
total eclipse of the heart (techno remix)-6 mins
stand up (when i move you move) - slow ddown from high energy-4 1/2 minutes
purple rain - ab crunches, cool down, and stretching 8 minutes
--------------------------------------------------------------------

I have always found the gym boring, except for the swimming and sauna so I started the cool running program 3 days a week.

Bodyflex definitely a lazy man's exercise I do it 2 times a week with aerobics the remaining 5 days.

The biggest challenge in starting an exercise routine is forming the habit. Set aside 20 minutes each day (3-5 days a week), which you are dedicated to exercising in. I could be a 20 minute walk, 20 minutes on the bike, etc. Dedicate yourself to keeping this time for 3 weeks. After 3 weeks, it will begin to be a habit.

Once this "time" is established, you'll find it much easier to stay motivated. Chart these times, and check them off when you're done. The visual helps motivation, too.

Good luck.

Unactive

I am very unactive and don't do much exercising as I don't have the motivation to put on my running shoes and go for a walk or jog as I used to.

Thinking of maybe investing in an exercise bike? Or something of the sort? Any suggestions?

Check the US eBay because there are many sellers that will ship outside the states. It would probably take a while to get it unless you wanted to pay airmail which is much more than surface mail. Also sometimes if you ask the seller, they will ship outside the US even if they don't post it.

if you get an exercise bike, a recumbant would probably be best.

Sounds good, they're not selling it on the australian ebay though.

Since bodyflex seems to work for people, I have just ordered the set from ebay. Maybe my walking isn't enough to lose inches around my waist. I am in hopes of this working! Thanks for info yoyo. deer

On top of all the other exercises that you may or may not do, just start walking. Get your daily activity level up. Park at the backs of parking lots and walk briskly to the stores. Everwhere you go, make and effort to get there by walking faster. You will find that this really helps you on an everday basis. You have to focus on it at first, to keep yourself going faster. But as the weight comes off you will find yourself just moving faster and more willing to walk places.

Good Luck! http://www.lowcarbsite.com/images/sm...icon_smile.gif

I think "Sick of the Fat" has found a perfect solution. Find something that you like to do, that's fun and entertaining, and do it. I like walking in the mall, because it's straight and level and lots of people passing by qnd stores to dash though. Some people like that Pilates workout and some like running.

I do not believe that you need to do some really intense workout. If you can just get your activity level up every day, that might be enough for you. But your idea of being inactive just doesn't work. We humans are designed to be active and we need it. We cannot be healthy, and we cannot maintain our weight levels, without it. So get moving! http://www.lowcarbsite.com/images/sm...icon_smile.gif

You are welcome!! I even do Body Flex deep breathing at the first sign of a cold or sinus trouble, it helps a lot. And just a note, the waist is where most lose first with this program. Or atleast the ones I know, including myself.
