I have the 'Look Great Naked' dvd's. My children laughed at me when I did them. Made it awfully hard. But then again, I haven't done them since I started the diet and I reckon me as a whale, trying to look great naked was a little funny.

I dont go to the gym cause I dont have a babysitter for my 4 year old twins or 3 year old girl.. fitness tapes are way to go for me. You can get some weights too so you will know what you are lifting, bet you could lift a lot hehe. Its kinda hard, u might have to stop exercising once in a while to break up spats etc, but bet you could find time for an hour a day.

Your body develops to support the activities you do. If you routinely pick up your children, do housework, mow the lawn, etc., etc., your body has developed the capacity (stength and endurance) to do those things. If you start doing more, your body will develop the capacity to do more. (I used to work with a lady that had a special needs child and she had incredible muscle definition in her arms just from moving him around.) Working out at the gym is just an efficient way to push your body and force it to do more.

My kids like to exercise with me, altho they get bored pretty quick. My son likes Kathy Smith

When they were reall small (like 1 and 3) I noticed them imitating me using balls from their ball pit as dumb bells. I bought them each a set of 1-pound weights. That worked until the 1-year old clonked the 3-year old on the head with one They still use these now, along with a set of 3-pounders.

Of course, I can't get a good workout in unless it's before they get up.

Housecleaning is exercise, too, but I don't count it. I figure that I always did housework and it didn't get me in shape.

Default Do children count? and other househould items
My five year old, my baby if you will, weighs 48 pounds and I lift him about 5 times a day(an tote him for about five minutes). I am frequently moving to furniture back after the kids goe sliding into it, scraping it across the floor. The recliners are especially heavy. I know Iam reaching, but I am a little depressed having only made it to the gym once a week since I joined. I have to depend on someone else to go down there. I would be there every night if I had a vehicle, but anyways. I just need some motivation here.

How about mowing a not so big yard with a pushmower?

Incidentally, I can walk on the treadmill (when I go to the gym) for 3 miles. Then I do the eliptical. I like that thing better. I don't pay much attention to that one except I do it for 35 minutes before I move on to working my abs, arms, chest, and back. Letting go of induction and then not making it to the gym is driving me batty. Any inspirational advice would be greatly appreciated.
