I ride with a friend and on the days that I don't go,I am still doing laundry, mopping, dishes, and if you think about it these things are excersies, I just hope that they are enough for the days I can't go. I know, I know, I was obsessed when I first started Atkins about my weight and controlling what I eat. Now I am obsessed with my muscles and controlling my fitness.

I really don't think you could gain 3 pounds of muscle in 5 workouts. There was a post recently that mentioned that you could retain some water when you start an exercise program. Stick with it and it will level out.

Default I got up this morning
and weighed myself and I am at 146 pounds. Basically when I started last Monday night I weighed 143. I am hoping it is just muscle. So far I have worked out 5 times. I don't know if I can get back down there this week as I have other obligations and a date with hubby Friday night. So, what can I do at home to get my third workout in this week? I don't want to lose anything I have worked on so far. Also, I guess I am going to have to start counting calories because I don't think I am eating enough to burn 300 calories. I know it doesn't sound like much, especially when hubby goes in and burns 300 on one machine in 30 minutes and it takes both the eliptical and the treadmill for me to burn that much in 45 minutes. Do you guys count calories? See, I wasn't only worried about carbs but I am in maintenance, time to adjust my thinking again.

I was gaining weight but i think I was taking in way too many carbs, thats what I do when i go to owl. I get too carried away> Anyways, the firm workout tapes are very challenging, its a nice at home exercise you could do if that interests you.
I am not counting calories just put myself back in induction as it seems to be the only way to control myself.

Well, I was down another pound this morning. That water weight gain is a pain in the tail. Alomst back to 143. I wonder how long with working out it will take me to reach 140.

Thanks. I checked it out. I have 35 pounds of fat on me and 110 is lean body mass. I have 23.88% body fat. 23% is normal.

I have loose skin on my abdomen from babies. That adds an extra inch or two to my calculations. I am working on tightening those muscles behind it up, but is that counted as fat? I am not trying to get out of the fact that I have more weight to lose and more to tighten up, I was just wondering.

I figure that I have to lose 2 inches off my waist to be "healthy". I really enjoy working out, cuz it doesn't hurt to sit down now, I am getting butt muscles.

Q, my waist has always been 27-28". It doesn't matter what I way, that's the most it alters. What's up with that? Any gains/losses are in my hips.

Susanna, check out mybodycomp.com and gauge by measurements.
